Very popular in Scandinavian countries, the thermotherapy-based thermal experience offered by Le Nordique spa Stoneham is based on the concept of alternating hot and cold temperatures over the course of 2 to 4 hours to achieve optimal relaxation and well-being.

1. Warm up the body

Duration: 10-15 minutes

Relax for 10 to 15 minutes in either the dry heat of our real Finnish sauna or the pleasant humidity of our hammam (Turkish steam bath).

– Finnish sauna (2x)

– Turkish steam bath (hammam) (2x)[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1605565961228{background-image: url(https://lenordique.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/bains-nordiques-rechauffer-corps.jpg?id=3511) !important;background-position: center !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;background-size: cover !important;}” el_class=”home-feature-image” offset=”vc_col-lg-6 vc_col-md-6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” el_class=”home-feature home-feature-content-left”][vc_column el_class=”home-feature-content” offset=”vc_col-lg-6 vc_col-md-6″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner el_class=”experience-left” css=”.vc_custom_1602715962172{padding-top: 0px !important;padding-right: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”][vc_column_text el_class=”experience-left-text”]

2. Cool off the body

Duration: 0-1 min

Once you are hot and sweating, cool yourself off rapidly by plunging for several seconds into the refreshing cold waters of our Nordic bath or the Jacques-Cartier River, or, in winter, directly into the snow. This thermal shock may seem harsh, but will be quite pleasant as long as your body is thoroughly hot. This step is essential in order to close the skin pores and ensure complete elimination of toxins.

3. Relaxation

Duration: 10-15 minutes

In order to allow your body to recuperate and fully experience the benefits of thermotherapy , relax in a calm environment, allowing yourself to appreciate the present moment, for as much time as you had spent in the sauna or steam bath in Step 1.

– Long chairs

– Hammocks[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1605566010088{background-image: url(https://lenordique.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/bains-nordiques-relaxation.jpg?id=3513) !important;background-position: center !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;background-size: cover !important;}” el_class=”home-feature-image” offset=”vc_col-lg-6 vc_col-md-6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” el_class=”home-feature home-feature-content-left”][vc_column el_class=”home-feature-content” offset=”vc_col-lg-6 vc_col-md-6″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner el_class=”experience-left” css=”.vc_custom_1602715962172{padding-top: 0px !important;padding-right: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}”][vc_column_text el_class=”experience-left-text”]

4. Hot tubs

Duration: As needed

If you wish, continue to relax in the outdoor jacuzzis, which are heated 12 months a year. The calming effect of the warm water and light massage provided by the whirlpool jets completes your relaxation experience.
